If you’re a regular reader you’ll
know this is a pretty common craving for me; as I type this at the back of my
mind I think ‘common is a acceptable word substitution for daily’..
My January mission has been to use up all the
spare foods in my cupboards which I consider a treat for my body, a mission for my mind and a sense of relief for my wallet.
A cupboard basic for me has to be ‘Nakd’ bars
but as I had none in I wanted to create something similar, a healthy chocolatey
snack which is good to go. Taking inspiration from my No Bake Cookies I added
fruit and orange essence and these ‘Cookie Dough Balls’ become good to go and aid for
digestion, a cure for chocolate cravings and have slow releasing carbohydrates.
Okay..So I made these Sunday night and less than 24 hours and they seem to be going really fast; my mother even asked for more..woooha..recipe from heaven!
These would keep for around a week in a air tight container - If you can keep your hands off them!

Chocolate Orange 'Cookie Dough' Bites
Ingredients
55g Margarine
115g Oats
4 Tablespoons Water
110g Splender
1 Table Spoon Coca Powder (I used Green & Blacks)
1 Tablespoon Orange Essence
50g Peanut Butter
40g Prunes
30g Sultanas
Method
In a sauce
pan heat your water, splender, peanut butter and margarine until smooth – This should
only take a few moments and make sure you keep stirring the mix.
Then add the
oats, cocoa powder and add the orange essence – Now put to one side (off the
heat) and process your prunes and sultanas (this should only take a few pulses)
and then blend these into the mix.
Using a
teaspoon spoon out the mix and roll into balls with clean hands and then place
in the fridge for 30 minutes to set and then enjoy!
Makes 16 –
Around 150 Calories per two balls.

These look so yummy! Thnx for sharing the recipe :)!
