You face the drama of getting out of bed before everyone else and shuffling out the door without trying to make too much noise and/or trying to avoid falling down the stairs because you didn’t put the light on.
Or tripping and dropping something that makes a clang so loud the house shakes isn’t the greatest start to the day for those you live with.
Let’s face it, the days are shorter so it’s darker and more chilly out and whilst the streets are quiet and the traffic is virtually none existent getting up and running at 6am won’t make everyone jump for joy.
But it should – Working out first thing is GREAT..
*Working out first thing keeps you burning calories all day – Who wouldn’t want that?
*It can serve as a super effective ‘wake up call’ leaving you bright and buzzing for the remainder of the day.
*It means your workout is 'done, complete, finished.' and you have the whole day and evening to enjoy other plans.
*If you are calorie counting, knowing your burn for the day can help you in planning your meals and fuelling efficiently.
*Personally and this is only a personal view but at times I find my workouts are better first thing than when I’m tired from the stresses of a working day.
What are your views on working out first thing? I really enjoyed it in the summer when the mornings where cooler but it’s become harder when the mornings are slowly getting darker..
Although one thing I do love is going to the gym and pretty much having the ladies area to myself for the first 30 minutes or so it sure beats queuing for the elusive treadmill or bike. As a matter of fact I think I'd rather only visit the gym fist thing if I could face it, but that's my view....What do you think?
